As our Youth Worker, you will deliver strengths-based case management to young people to support them with addressing vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment. Based at our Transition to Work office in Browns Plains, you will collaborate with the team to deliver quality services that enhance self-efficacy of our youth by focusing on their strengths and inherent abilities.
Job Responsibility:
Evaluating individual strengths and connecting young people with specialised support services
Crafting and delivering weekly engaging group activities and workshops to enhance vocational and non-vocational skills, life skills, and work readiness in young people
Working in collaboration with the young person to set goals to address non-vocational barriers
Designing personalised case plans that not only set clear goals but also ignite enthusiasm, closely tracking and celebrating progress and achievements
Collaborating in case conferences with the job placement coach to ensure a coordinated approach
Championing innovation, challenging the norm, and tirelessly advocating for the well-being and success of young individuals
Actively engaging with the local community and gain support for referrals for our young people
Requirements:
Certificate IV in Youth Work or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in youth work, or a similar role, in the provision of effective case management of disengaged young people
Demonstrated experience in developing strategies to overcome the challenges to employment faced by disadvantaged youth
Proven ability to deliver workshops and group facilitation processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a flair for networking
Proficient skills in using technology and systems
Unrestricted drivers licence
