Job Description:

Join Aruma as a Youth Worker to empower and support young individuals in creating a safe and supportive space for personal growth and development. Be part of a team dedicated to defending human rights and making a positive impact.

Job Responsibility:

Build meaningful connections with youth through mentorship and guidance
develop and implement engaging programs that foster personal growth
provide emotional support and a listening ear to help young people navigate challenges
collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
utilise personal experience to inspire and connect with young individuals

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent
willingness to enrol in the Certificate IV if not already obtained
hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements
excellent communication skills
empathetic and compassionate
passionate about human rights and creating positive change
enthusiastic team player
availability for 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and sleepover shifts
