Job Description:

Are you an inspiring educator ready to lead a Year 2 class through their final term of Key Stage 1? Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated teacher for a supportive, high-achieving primary school in Crawley. Starting this April, you will guide a settled cohort through their end-of-year milestones, ensuring a smooth and confident transition into Key Stage 2.

Job Responsibility:

  • Class Leadership: Plan and deliver the full Year 2 curriculum with a focus on core literacy and numeracy
  • Progress Tracking: Manage end-of-year assessments and moderation, ensuring every child reaches their potential
  • Inclusive Teaching: Differentiate lessons for a mixed-ability class, including EAL and SEN learners
  • Community Focus: Build strong, transparent relationships with parents and carers

Requirements:

  • QTS: Essential (ECTs are warmly welcomed)
  • KS1 Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and effective Phonics delivery
  • Management: A nurturing but disciplined approach to classroom management
  • Commitment: The dedication to support this class until the end of the academic year
