Job Description:

We are seeking a Wi-Fi Development & Integration Engineer to join our Automotive Infotainment team. The engineer will be responsible for integrating, debugging, and optimizing Wi-Fi features on next-generation infotainment platforms. The role involves working closely with chipset vendors, OS/middleware developers, and OEM partners to deliver robust connectivity for wireless projection, internet services, OTA updates, and in car applications.

Job Responsibility:

  • Wi-Fi Stack Integration: Integrate and configure Wi-Fi drivers, firmware, and middleware in infotainment platforms (QNX, Linux, Android Automotive)
  • Enable Wi-Fi modes (Station, SoftAP, P2P, Wi-Fi Direct, Dual Band Concurrent)
  • Customize Wi-Fi settings for infotainment use cases (Hotspot, Tethering, V2X handoff, projection features)
  • Development & Debugging: Debug and resolve issues in connectivity, roaming, throughput, and security (WPA3, EAP)
  • Analyze kernel/driver logs, firmware traces, and packet captures (Wireshark, Omnipeek)
  • Optimize Wi-Fi performance for high-bandwidth use cases such as Wireless Android Auto, CarPlay over Wi-Fi, and HD streaming
  • Work with BT team to resolve coexistence issues (BT + Wi-Fi + LTE/5G)
  • System Integration: Collaborate with telephony, networking, and infotainment application teams to integrate Wi-Fi features seamlessly
  • Ensure Wi-Fi reliability for OTA update framework, cloud services, and voice assistants (Alexa/Google)
  • Support Wi-Fi security certifications and regulatory compliance (FCC/CE)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • 4–8 years in Wi-Fi driver development, system integration, or debugging on embedded platforms
  • Strong understanding of Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
  • Hands-on experience with modes: STA, SoftAP, P2P, Wi-Fi Direct
  • Familiar with Wi-Fi security protocols (WPA2, WPA3, 802.1X/EAP)
  • Debugging tools: Wireshark, Omnipeek, chipset-specific tools (QXDM/QCAT for Qualcomm, iw/iperf)
  • Knowledge of Linux networking stack (wpa_supplicant, hostapd, netlink)
  • Experience in dual-band concurrent operation and roaming optimization

Nice to have:

  • Automotive infotainment platforms (Qualcomm SA8155/SA8295, other QC platforms)
