Job Description:

St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Weekend Sales Assistant to join our team. This role will be based in our Yeovil Old Cinema Furniture Store. You will join us on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £8743.00 per annum. This is a part time role working 13.5 hours a week on a Saturday and Sunday. There may occasionally be a need to work during the week to cover staff leave as required.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the shop manager and deputy in the running of the shop
  • Delivering friendly and approachable customer service
  • Sorting and lifting donated goods
  • Merchandising and creating eye-catching shop displays
  • Following till and cash handling procedures
  • Helping to support and motivate a team of shop volunteers
  • Promoting the services and fundraising activities of St Margaret’s Hospice

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a retail environment is desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrable high standards of customer service
  • Good communication skills
