Warehouse Team Member I is highly knowledgeable in receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. They are responsible to physically and systematically processing inventory and accurately supporting internal customers.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials
Physically and systematically processing inventory and accurately supporting internal customers
Perform tasks in the shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations
Adhere to all processes with little to no supervision
Communicate to leadership and internal stakeholders when deviation of the standard process occurs and propose solution to correct the process
Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials using assigned equipment
Perform basic transactions in SAP as well as troubleshoot and resolve common errors in SAP to maintain accurate and timely inventory data
Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within assigned work area
Support and participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts
Set a good example of personal integrity
Requirements:
1 year of experience in working in general warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures preferred
Experience in operating a forklift and reach truck preferred
Experience working within SAP preferred
Strong attention to detail & ability to follow directions with precise execution
Ability to read, interpret & understand basic drawings & schematics a plus
Ability to read, interpret process documents
Basic computer literacy
Beginner level understanding of Microsoft office preferred
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work off of step stools and ladders
Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs
Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend
Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools and turbine parts
Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions
Ability to adapt to a changing environment, consistently demonstrating Vestas Core Values
Able to safely operate all equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Regular & reliable attendance in adherence to the outline attendance policy
Ability to learn and interpret the instructions and translate that in to work
