We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Park Ridge, Australia. In this crucial role, you will oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to safety protocols.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping operations
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
Implement and enforce warehouse safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Monitor and optimize warehouse processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and logistics, to ensure seamless operations
Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or shipments in a timely manner
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and identify training needs for warehouse personnel
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and quality standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software
Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred)
Certification in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is an advantage
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices is desirable
Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations in Park Ridge, Australia
