Job Description:

Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and keeping operations running smoothly? If you're hands-on, organised and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy, this could be an excellent opportunity.We're supporting a well‑established business in Gillingham with a busy warehouse and distribution function. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of stock, people, health and safety, and day‑to‑day warehouse operations.

Job Responsibility:

Managing all warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics
Ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on schedule
Maintaining an efficient warehouse layout and optimising space usage
Leading, motivating and managing the warehouse team
Allocating daily workload and managing staffing levels
Managing stock movements, cycle counts and supporting regular stock takes
Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
Processing returns and liaising with purchasing and sales teams
Managing courier relationships and resolving delivery issues
Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation
Carrying out risk assessments and promoting a strong safety culture
Maintaining accurate warehouse documentation and operational records
Supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and stock control
Good knowledge of health and safety requirements
Confident leadership and people‑management skills
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Experience using warehouse systems, ERP software and Excel
A hands‑on, proactive approach to problem solving

Nice to have:

Experience in the automotive aftermarket, wheels or tyre industry
Tyre fitting experience
Forklift licences
Experience implementing process improvements
