Job Description:

Patient transport is an integral part of the community, providing a vital service for people who are often vulnerable and not able to make their own way to hospital. As a Volunteer Driver you will meet many inspiring individuals with fascinating stories to tell about their life. A short car journey to hospital is a lifeline for our patients as well as being a highly rewarding and interesting experience for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • transport patients
  • ensure patients receive the care and treatment they need
  • transport service users on regular journeys or one-off long distance journeys

Requirements:

  • live locally to be able to facilitate supporting local service users
  • reside within the local area
  • use own vehicle to transport patients
