Job Description:

VMware and Storage Private Cloud L3 Engineer role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise focusing on designing, implementing, and maintaining private cloud infrastructure. Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure including virtual machines, storage, and network components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to private cloud infrastructure including performance and security-related issues
  • Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting and automation tools
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of private cloud systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation of private cloud infrastructure including procedures, best practices, and architecture diagrams
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
  • Provide customer service and technical support to internal and external clients
  • Mentor and train junior team members

Requirements:

  • First Level University degree (technical or non-technical) typically 3-4 year completion beyond High School level, BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 6-8 years experience in relevant technologies and customer environments
  • Relevant industry qualification where applicable
  • Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, DRS, HA, and vSphere Update Manager
  • Experience with VMware NSX
  • Knowledge of Storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and iSCSI
  • Knowledge on HPE Nimble preferred
  • Cloud Management Platform Architecture understanding
  • Cloud Management experience using Morpheus
  • Application Management experience
  • Automation skills with VMware vRealize Automation, Ansible, Puppet
  • Scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell
  • Working knowledge of vROps
  • Working knowledge of Monitoring Tools like Opsramp, Nagios
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of ITSM practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in a technical environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Certifications: ITIL, VMware VCP, VMware NSX, AWS/Azure/GCP
