Visual Merchandising Manager

• Lead and manage a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers
• Gather and translate knowledge of people's needs and dreams into relevant range presentation solutions
• Create relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions
• Recruitment and competence development of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers
• Develop department action plan using layout as a commercial tool
• Execute range presentation and vitality initiatives
• Exploit commercial opportunities
• Ensure work is based on layout as commercial tool with high quality
• Minimize disruption and communicate changes on shop floor
• Contribute in national Visual Merchandising/Activity Managers network

• Degree in Visual Merchandising, Industrial/Interior Design, or Architecture (preferred)
• 5+ years of experience as an IKEA Visual Merchandiser
• Experience as a Visual Merchandising & Activity Manager is a plus
• Commercial, aesthetic and practical skills
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking
• Ability to shift from the bigger picture to detailed execution
• Ability to inspire, motivate and engage people
• Passion for developing people and creating a trustful, creative team environment
• Understanding of life at home in the local market
• Familiarity with the IKEA Concept, work methods, and mechanical sales system
• Knowledge of how to lead creative processes
