As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market; providing home furnishing solutions; demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through visual merchandising; engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea; working with new and unique display concepts; constantly being on the move in the store.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market
  • Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home
  • Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition
  • Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea
  • Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently
  • Constantly being on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties

Requirements:

  • A creative & energized coworker who loves to design and create
  • Passionate about implementing your designs from a sketch into reality
  • A practical and hands-on individual, with proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles
  • A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics
  • A competent team player that has excellent communication skills
  • Experienced with programs such as REVIT, preferred but not essential
  • Having a Design qualification, previous Visual Merchandising experience and experience in Microsoft Office is preferred
