We’re looking for two Visitor Management Officers to join our friendly and proactive team during the busy summer season. Based at Coniston Boating Centre, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Authority’s car parking operations, parking enforcement, public facilities and wider visitor management activities across the National Park. You’ll work closely with a range of internal and external partners to deliver initiatives that support high visitor pressure locations, contributing to the work of the Cumbria Strategic Visitor Management Group (SVMG).
Job Responsibility:
Engagement with visitors across the whole of the National Park, providing education and encouragement to prevent or reduce visitors’ adverse behaviours and impacts
To respond to visitors’ damage to the landscape, by taking practical steps to mitigate those harms
Supporting the delivery of Area Action Visitor Management Plans and the requests of the Strategic Visitor Management Group
On site management of the LDNPA’s car parks owned, managed, and leased for the purpose of maximising The Authority’s car parking income contribution, and facilitating a positive visitor parking experience
