Job Description:

PAUL Tech AG is a technology leader in the real estate industry with the mission to make buildings carbon neutral. Our proprietary technology, consisting of IoT-enabled hardware and AI-supported software, permanently optimizes water-bearing systems in buildings. This reduces CO2 emissions and energy costs. Everyone benefits: owners, operators, occupants and the climate. At Paul, we are researchers, developers and practitioners with the common goal of developing intelligent solutions for buildings to combat climate change. To support our executive team (CEO, CFO, CTO, COO) in Munich or Mannheim, we are offering a Visiting Associate Internship (6–10 weeks, start date flexible). In this role, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working directly with our leadership on high-impact projects and taking on responsibility from day one.

Job Responsibility:

  • Investor Relations: Prepare and assist in investor workshops, creating compelling presentations and analyses for our stakeholders
  • Corporate Finance & Business Modelling: Contribute to corporate finance initiatives by working on business case models and financial analyses to support strategic decisions
  • Operational Efficiency Analysis: Perform efficiency analyses across our operations (e.g. processes, supply chain) to identify improvement opportunities and drive cost savings
  • Sustainability Modeling: Develop CO2 savings and energy models to quantify and forecast the (financial) impact of our solutions, directly supporting our mission of climate neutrality
  • Strategic Procurement Support: Support vendor selection processes and assist our strategic purchasing efforts, helping to evaluate strategic suppliers and optimize our global value chain
  • Product Development Projects: Collaborate with the product team on new product development and help shape the new product introduction process, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives: Take ownership of additional strategic projects as needed, acting as a “Swiss Army knife” across departments similar to a founder’s associate role, and contribute wherever highest impact is needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s student in a higher semester or a Master’s (field of study open, business/technical fields beneficial)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in handling data (Excel modeling, etc.) and drawing insights
  • Initial practical experience through internships or projects in consulting, finance, startups, or related fast-paced environments is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in German and English (written and spoken) You can effectively communicate complex ideas to different stakeholders
  • A proactive, independent work style paired with great team spirit. You take initiative, adapt quickly, and thrive in a dynamic environment where your ideas are valued
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks and drive them to completion with attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for technology and sustainability – you are excited about our mission to fight climate change and eager to make a real impact
  • You are comfortable working with digital tools for data analytics and automation and ideally bring first experience with solutions such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Lovable or n8n, to structure data and automate workflows
What we offer:
  • Steep Learning Curve: An enriching internship with continuous learning opportunities – you will receive onboarding training and a dedicated mentor (buddy) throughout the program. Expect a fast-paced environment with clear feedback to accelerate your growth
  • Mentorship & Team Culture: Close collaboration with our experienced C-Level team, offering you guidance and insight into top-level decision-making. We foster a supportive, collegial atmosphere with short decision-making processes, and you’ll be welcomed as a full team member
  • High Impact & Responsibility: A dynamic setting where your ideas are appreciated and you can have a tangible impact from day one. You will work on meaningful projects that contribute to real business outcomes and CO2 reduction
  • Competitive Benefits: A competitive internship compensation and perks such as subsidized public transport (Deutschlandticket) and access to company events, free office snacks & drinks, etc.
  • Career Opportunities: If you impress us, this Visiting Associate program can be a fast track to a strategic position. Successful interns may earn a direct offer for an exciting full-time role at PAUL Tech, kick-starting your career with us
