The Lending business of Wealth offers a diverse product range including Securities Backed Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Aircraft, Art-backed Finance as well as tailored solutions to target market clients of the Private Bank. Wealth Credit Management is a critical component of the First Line of Defense for credit risk management and works within the business with Independent Risk partners to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and associated administration with Citi Global Wealth lending activities.
Job Responsibility:
develop strong knowledge of Citi’s Credit Policies, Product Programs and overarching Citi Policies
full credit underwriting with appropriate risk-return characteristics based on Citi's Credit and Product Policies, Standards and Procedures
preparation of Credit Applications ensuring accuracy and completeness of data
financial Analysis including cash flow statements
collateral Evaluation covering investment portfolios, commercial real estate, art, aircraft and other asset classes
provide In-Business Credit Risk Approval on credit applications
prepare and negotiate credit documentation for facilities, including liaison with internal and external legal counsel, as required
prepare, review and monitor compliance to facility covenants and approval conditions
assist in Portfolio Management, including Annual Credit Reviews, covenant monitoring and compliance, waivers and extensions and all related system maintenance
problem recognition and assisting with classified loans remedial management
supporting Business Partners in margin call/limit excess deferrals and approvals
assist Lending Advisors with preparing Credit Greenlight memos
assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup
participating and leading strategic projects and team tasks
on-going training and development of more junior team members
Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in credit management in a private bank
experience as a credit officer is an advantage while candidates with relevant experience in a private bank will also be considered
strong and proven analytical, financial structuring and execution skills
strong knowledge and understanding of Financial Analysis including Financial and cash flow modelling
ability to digest complex or detailed issues and articulate them in clear and concise manner to stakeholders
excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
good negotiation skills
strong initiative and interactive approach to problem-solving
displays flexibility and independence in a demanding environment
dependable team player
bachelor's/University degree
Nice to have:
experience as a credit officer
