Job Description:

We are launching a new position in our Airbus Portugal GBS! This position is required to understand VAT regulation in order to secure the correct applications of VAT rules in the accounting books in coordination with the Airbus HQ Tax, General Ledger accounting and Financial Systems teams. In your role, you will be involved in:

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the focal point of the AGBS team for any VAT topics with the other teams
  • Ensure VAT trainings for the AGBS team (AR / AP)
  • Secure correct treatment of incoming / outgoing invoices from a VAT standpoint
  • Weekly controls of the VAT bookings for cleaning, bookings corrections if needed and invoices format
  • Manage the correct application of VAT codes in P&L accounts
  • Lead the regular review of the VAT numbers’ validity of the customers and suppliers
  • Perform some accounting extractions in coordination with the accounting general ledger team and recover the relating invoices when necessary

Requirements:

  • Wish to develop specific VAT skills in the 4 core countries of Airbus
  • University degree in accounting
  • Good knowledge of MS Office more especially Excel
  • Demonstrated experience in ERP systems (SAP)
  • Diligent and have a strong work ethics
  • Well organized and able to perform under pressure given the VAT declaration timelines
  • Dynamic, autonomous and very responsible
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills, research and resolution skills
  • Advanced English written and oral skills

Nice to have:

Notions of French would be a plus
