Your daily responsibilities of this role include assembling new automated/control valves. You will be an essential part of the success of AWC, completing each function properly and exceeding our customers expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Assemble and calibrate automation and control valve packages, ensuring precision and functionality.
Analyze valve problems and choose corrective action.
Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair and reassembly as required.
Work meticulously within tight tolerances to ensure product quality and performance.
Read drawings, job orders, tooling instructions, or standard charts to execute tasks accurately.
Maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety to avoid rejections and ensure a safe working environment.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet critical deadlines.
Contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance output, quality, and delivery through continuous improvement initiatives.
Possess knowledgeable in bolt torquing techniques to ensure proper valve assembly.
Ability to work in a shop atmosphere and outside in customer owned facilities, delivering top-notch service.
Requirements:
Knowledge of process valves
Strong mechanical aptitude
Capable of working in both independent and team settings
Ability to read and understand drawings
Proficient in the use of measurement devices i.e., vernier calipers
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Possess knowledge of and safely use basic hand tools for valve maintenance.
Dedication to a safe work environment
Excellent communication skills, enabling clear and concise interaction with colleagues and clients
High School Diploma or GED
Have at least 2 years of valve assembly, repair, testing, reconditioning or modification experience
Ability to work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as determined by project/company needs
Must be able to move and or lift parts up to 40 lbs.
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, squat, reach lift and carry
Ability to operate power equipment such as lift trucks or hand trucks
Ability to pass and maintain a clear DISA background and Drug Screen
