We are delighted to offer a University Year Placement within our Payroll Team, based at our Norwich office. This placement is ideal for students with a placement year planned between their 2nd and 3rd year of study, and will run during the 2026/2027 academic year. It provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • With support and training, assist in preparing basic payrolls from start to finish
  • Liaise with clients and HMRC to resolve queries, taking control of all regulatory submissions, deadlines and ensuring client expectations are met
  • Taking an interest in the client’s values and business needs to develop good working relationships
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Organise your workload, particularly in peak periods, ensuring deadlines are met and communicating with the team around you to ensure work flows smoothly

Requirements:

  • Working towards a relevant degree or a professional qualification such as AAT
  • Grade 4-9 in Maths and English Language at GCSE or equivalent
  • Competent in using Microsoft packages, internet, email and computerised accounts packages
