We are seeking an experienced Underground Mine Supervisor to lead and manage underground crews in a safe, productive, and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising UG crews, coordinating daily work activities, and ensuring compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate underground crews of approximately 6 personnel
Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and mentoring to UG employees
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Conduct pre-shift meetings, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and safety inspections
Monitor productivity, work quality, and adherence to mine plans and schedules
Identify and address safety concerns, operational issues, and personnel matters
Complete required documentation, reports, and shift handovers
Work closely with mine management, maintenance, and technical teams to meet production targets
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of underground mining experience
3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role in an underground mining environment
Ontario Underground Supervisor Common Core (mandatory)
WSCC Level 2 certification preferred
Strong knowledge of underground mining practices, safety systems, and regulations
Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment
