As a Trenchless Engineer, you will provide civil and geotechnical engineering and consulting services for various projects and clients. Common project types include underground electrical and communications, and natural gas, petroleum, and storm/waste/water pipelines. You will be responsible for leading team members, planning and overseeing field investigations and laboratory testing, performing engineering analysis/calculations including pipe pullback calculations and inadvertent returns analyses, providing trenchless recommendations, and consulting with clients. This role will also provide support to project managers on developing proposals and cost estimates, tracking and evaluating project progress, and support during trenchless construction. This position requires the ability to communicate engineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project team members.
Job Responsibility:
Lead safety efforts for teams and ensure teams follow safety rules and guidelines
Promote pre-task planning for all projects
Monitor and promote quality standards and practices
Develop an understanding and be aware of project-related risk and how to manage the risks
Provide technical direction required for completion of routine and unique or complex projects
Responsible for conceptualizing supporting engineering design and/or investigative approach for moderate to large projects
Provide technical review of projects with complex and innovative engineering techniques, perform engineering evaluations, and develop recommendations in written reports
Lead less experienced engineers or technical support personnel on projects
Develop and review design drawings and specifications for construction projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical or Geological Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
Periodically travel and work on project sites out of town

Master’s degree in Engineering
CAD software experience
