Job Responsibility:
Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents for commercial real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing contracts, and joint venture agreements
Oversee due diligence processes, including reviewing title, surveys, and zoning compliance, to identify and mitigate potential risks
Coordinate and lead transaction closings, ensuring smooth execution by collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
Advise clients on strategies for real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities
Structure deals effectively and manage complex negotiations to achieve client objectives
Provide guidance on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to real estate projects
Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver tailored solutions for sophisticated real estate matters
Stay informed about industry trends and local market dynamics to offer strategic advice
Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring high-quality results
Requirements:
Active membership in the California State Bar is required
4+ years of experience in transactional real estate, preferably within a law firm environment
Strong expertise in commercial real estate law, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures
Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently on complex transactions while effectively collaborating with a team
Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have:
Familiarity with land use or zoning laws in California is a plus
Experience working with technology companies or clients in real estate technology is desirable
