Job Description:

A reputable and distinguished real estate firm is seeking a Transactional Real Estate Associate to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented and committed professional with 4+ years of experience managing complex transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing. Job Responsibility:

  • Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents for commercial real estate transactions, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing contracts, and joint venture agreements
  • Oversee due diligence processes, including reviewing title, surveys, and zoning compliance, to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Coordinate and lead transaction closings, ensuring smooth execution by collaborating with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams
  • Advise clients on strategies for real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities
  • Structure deals effectively and manage complex negotiations to achieve client objectives
  • Provide guidance on compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to real estate projects
  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients to deliver tailored solutions for sophisticated real estate matters
  • Stay informed about industry trends and local market dynamics to offer strategic advice
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring high-quality results

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar is required
  • 4+ years of experience in transactional real estate, preferably within a law firm environment
  • Strong expertise in commercial real estate law, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently on complex transactions while effectively collaborating with a team
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with land use or zoning laws in California is a plus
  • Experience working with technology companies or clients in real estate technology is desirable
