Trainee Overhead Linesperson. Talented people are the key to our success. We are looking for a motivated and ambitious trainee overhead linesperson to join our Energy OHL team, supporting the delivery of National Grid and DNO projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility. Upon successful training you will be able to install and maintain high voltage overhead power transmission lines, whilst ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity are always achieved.
Job Responsibility:
Install, build, and refurbish overhead power lines up to 400kV
Safely working at height on structures with other team members
Maintain and develop new skills and competencies in accordance with National Grid, Morgan Sindall standards, and legislative changes
Conduct all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Morgan Sindall and its clients
Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient implementation of Morgan Sindall operations
Always maintain site safety and contribute to complete daily risk assessments where required
Conform to all instructions stated in Risk assessments and Guidance Notes
Ensure that accidents and near misses are promptly reported
Complete all work to high quality standards
Requirements:
Have a satisfactory level of GCSE’s ideally including English & Maths
Be prepared to travel and work nationally
Be willing to undertake training so you can safely work at height on structures with other team members
Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team
