Job Description:

Train to Teach (Primary) is a long-term SEN Teaching Assistant placement designed for recent graduates with a passion for working with young children and a desire to become qualified Primary Teachers. Positions are based in East London and provide hands-on experience in nurturing primary settings. Successful candidates will have a pathway into salaried teacher training after 1 year.

Job Responsibility:

Working 1:1 or in small groups with children with SEND (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
supporting learning, behaviour and social-emotional development
assisting the class teacher across the school day
providing 1:1 and group support inside and outside of the classroom

Requirements:

A degree in any subject
a genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education
a patient, caring and resilient personality
some experience working with children or young people is desirable
committed to a long-term career in education

Nice to have:

Some experience working with children or young people
