Job Description:

A one-week program (August 17th – 21st, 2026) offering a crash course into the world of options and a sneak peek into life as an options market maker at Akuna Capital. Participants will learn from trader trainers, apply knowledge in simulations, and shadow trading desks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enroll in a crash course on the world of options
  • Collaborate with trader trainers to learn risk management, game theory, and optimal decision making
  • Apply knowledge in real time
  • Master educational trading games and simulations
  • Shadow trading desks to learn about Akuna's approach to market making

Requirements:

  • Graduating between December 2026 – July 2027
  • Pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, actuarial science or a related/equivalent field
  • Able to attend program in person at Akuna’s Chicago headquarters (August 17 – 21)
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter ready to work in a fast paced, collaborative, team environment
  • Strong math, numerical, and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrable interest in trading and the financial markets
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required on the first day of employment including F-1 students using OPT or STEM
