Job Description:

NRMA Tow Truck Operators play an important role in supporting our members across Australia by helping to keep them safe and moving. You will be on the frontline providing towing assistance while creating memorable member experiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responding to road service calls, loading, transporting and unloading vehicles
  • Helping to represent the NRMA brand by understanding the needs of the customer and demonstrating customer-first service solutions
  • Utilising towing and transportation expertise to analyse the vehicle breakdown position and identify the most appropriate action to recover, secure and transport the vehicle according with safety standards and tow truck regulations
  • Ensure clear and appropriate communication with members, ensuring member safety and excellent customer service
  • Maintain tools, uniforms and equipment so that presentation is kept to a high standard
  • Actively contribute to working groups, toolbox talks, trials and committees to enhance operations

Requirements:

  • A full valid NSW Medium Rigid Driver’s License (or higher)
  • A valid Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencement
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster over a 7-day week (including public holidays) – for 12-hour shifts between 6am – 8:00pm
  • Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated experience to work effectively across diverse communities
  • Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices with the ability to follow safe work procedures
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • A strong team player with a flexible and robust attitude, together with a positive mindset
  • An ability to adapt to change and work within new and changing parameters
