Job Description:

Thakuru (Butler) position at JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa providing personalized service and attention to fulfilling all guest needs, including VIP coordination, room preparation, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.

Job Responsibility:

Provide personalized service and attention to fulfilling all guest needs
Deliver coffee and tea upon request
Prepare notes of new arrivals to communicate important preferences to entire hotel operation
Coordinate with front desk to prepare VIP rooms
Check room key and verify if every detail meets guest expectations
Coordinate with front desk to escort early arrivals
Be present upon guest check-in to anticipate needs
Complete butler flags in local systems
Send pre-arrival emails
Escort VIPs to their rooms
Work closely with Guest Services and Engineering departments on requests
Pick up laundry requests from guests
Follow up on laundry delivery and return laundry promptly
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Follow all company policies and procedures
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests' service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely
Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
Support team to reach common goals
Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
