Thailand FX Operations Head will report to Asia South and JANA FX Operations Head and Thailand Country Operations Head. The individual will be required to proactively partner with Business, Technology, Controls and Corporate Functions partners to lead/strategize/build/deliver standardized, scalable, and sustainable operational model and service standards. The role encompasses overseeing operations for a large suite of Markets products including FX, FX Options, Money Market, Bonds, Derivatives (Rates, Credit, Commodities). The individual will be responsible for leading and developing a local operations team of ~16 people in Bangkok while managing compliance with local regulations and delivering on strategic goals.
Job Responsibility:
Overseeing and leading daily core operations maintaining a culture and environment where processes, risks and controls are continually monitored, and potential risks escalated on a timely basis as well as acting as a senior point of escalation
Developing an effective control framework that fully meets Audit, Compliance and Regulatory requirements
delivery of periodic presentations to external regulators as required
Ensuring the infrastructure and tools are in place to effectively manage risk and service our clients to a high standard
Acting as key point of contact Thailand FX Operations across internal and external stakeholders and Operational Product Heads
Continued engagement and face off with a range of senior Business, Technology and Operations partners
Acting as senior Operations lead managing due diligence, regulatory visits/engagement and other governance forums
Supporting and partnering with the Business to facilitate a growing and expanding client base / operational offering
Engaging in client discussions & relationship management activities as required to support the Business
Implementing a successful People and Engagement strategy to help attract, develop, retain and recognize a diverse and talented workforce for the site
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust service and control environment
Engaging with and leading our People

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree with a Business Administration, Finance, or other equivalent background
Min 10-12 years of experiences in the financial industry, including experience in leading operations team delivering operational activities, especially in-depth understanding of local regulations covering FX, Money Market, Fixed Income, Derivatives & Margining
Experience in delivering strategic change programs spanning multiple years in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations organisation
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive
a leader who can positively and productively add product impact to both strategic and tactical technology
Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments
Strong risk management and control mindset

Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented
