Job Description:

We are seeking a patient, resilient, and well-organised Administrator to join our client, a small, close-knit team of three in Taunton. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive environment and is passionate about helping others. This is a temporary position for 4 - 6 weeks therefore you must be available immediately to be considered for this position and available for the full duration of the contract.

Job Responsibility:

Providing day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth running of the centre
Managing volunteer recruitment, induction, and rota coordination
Maintaining accurate records for food hygiene, health and safety, and client data
Occasionally interacting with service users, offering practical support when needed
Supporting the Charity Manager and team in delivering essential services
Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies

Requirements:

Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality
Experience working with volunteers or in a support setting is desirable
A caring, empathetic, and proactive approach

Nice to have:

Experience working with volunteers or in a support setting
Recent DBS or subscribed to the update service
