Job Description:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial, accounting, tax, labour and compliance aspects of the Company. He/she ensures that the money being spent by the company is allocated appropriately and used as planned. He/she is responsible for monitoring the budget, developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures, ensuring that all departments are working together in a cohesive and coordinated manner, and making sure everything complies with Italian requirements, together with financial reporting and other applicable standards agreed with the company. The candidate will also be responsible for processing and paying/collecting all creditor/debtor invoices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Planning: Formulate an initial business plan/budget based on the Master and update it
  • Ensure all costs are in line with budget and approved
  • Prepare timely and accurate analyses, summaries and reports of financial data on the progress of the Company
  • Bookkeeping and local compliance: Keep accurate books and records of accounts of the Company, in order to prepare Annual Financial Statements in accordance with the Italian GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with Italian tax, legal and labour laws and regulations
  • Lead a team to manage the company from an administrative, accounting, tax, legal and labour perspective
  • Be the legal representative to execute transactions with third-parties by means of the Powers of Attorney granted in accordance with the Company’s Shareholders
  • Prepare and execute the liquidation of the Company in an orderly manner, once the Company has closed the fiscal year related to the activities in Naples
  • Operations: Develop and implement a purchase policy to ensure purchases are made in accordance with the standards defined by the Company’s Shareholders
  • Identify ways to minimize cost and boost financial performance
  • Allocate resources and manage cash flows (cash management)
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relations using SLA’s and metric management (i.e., insurance companies, suppliers, business partners, etc.)
  • Review and approve all spending by the Company, including salaries, supplies, travel expenses, and other operational costs
  • Prepare other periodical and ad hoc reports agreed with the CEO when required
  • HR and IT: Develop and implement human resource policies that align with organizational goals, as well as manage employee relations
  • Recruit and manage all the staff, including the payment of salaries and other payments (allowance, reallocation fees, etc.)
  • Oversee IT operations and evaluate them according to the established goals
  • Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the Group
  • Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information

Requirements:

  • Solid background in financial planning, Italian accounting, treasury, and regulatory reporting matters
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach, committed and motivated to drive performance and deliver business results
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail, combined with a focus on problem-solving and strategic thinking
