Technology Apprentice | BEng Software Engineering. Belfast is the global center for Citi’s ICRM Surveillance and Portals Technology. The team is the global center for the creation of a sophisticated next generation Trade and Communications surveillance platform with data scientists and software development teams working together to use cutting edge technologies and techniques (including big data technologies) to build feature-based surveillance algorithms. These platforms allow users to monitor trading activity for indications of potential market abuse, insider dealing and other types of fraud. During the programme, you will study for a Level 6 Software Engineering qualification with Queens’ University Belfast. The Software Engineering qualification is made up of 15 modules studied over three years.
Job Responsibility:
Contribute to writing Surveillance applications that aim to detect instances of market abuse
Learn to write clean, testable code that can be easily maintained by other developers in future
Support the deployment and scheduling of the applications to ensure regulations are met
Get involved in efficiency improvements to see where tasks can be automated or streamlined
Requirements:
BCC including at least one preferred A-level (Mathematics, Computing or Software Systems Development) + GCSE Mathematics grade C/4
or BBC including at least one relevant A-level (Chemistry, Digital Technology, ICT, Physics, Technology and Design or Double Award Applied ICT) + GCSE Mathematics grade C/4
Successful applicants will be enrolled on to the Queens’ University Belfast BEng Software Development Part-time Undergraduate course
