Technician is responsible for the operational service delivery all James Fisher Offshore and Onshore/onshore activities and will ensure equipment and projects are delivered in as safe, efficient and effective manner.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
Carry out major repair works to diesel driven engines (Scania, Volvo) and also fuel system repair
Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities
Ensure safe working practices are carried out at all times in accordance to health and safety legislation
Carry out inspection of equipment and evaluate level of maintenance, repair or rebuild work required
Carry out all servicing, maintenance and repair work on company or client owned equipment as required and instructed
Prepare all equipment in readiness for relevant test procedures
Ensure equipment is returned in good order and fit for purpose, minimising repair costs through good servicing and reducing the risk of incurring down time through equipment failure
To work offsite (ad hoc) on client premises, vessel or offshore facility - commissioning, operating, maintaining and/or repairing lifting and associated equipment
Select suitable equipment from stock as requested
Spooling of umbilical and wire rope in a controlled manner as required
To complete all company documentation promptly and accurately, thereby creating a full auditable trail as required by the company management procedures and to maintain company QHSE accreditation
To always maintain a clean and safe working area
To ensure compliance with defined HSE policies and procedures and identify any areas for improvement
Ensure appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used in accordance with company health and safety policies
Any other reasonably delegated responsibilities as instructed by line management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirement
Requirements:
Hold an educational or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical discipline
Strong hands-on experience with mechanical machinery and hydraulic system
Experience with Decommissioning and Controlled flow excavation is advantage
Able to read drawings, datasheets and check sheets
Strong safety awareness and site coordination skills
Proficiency in English both written and spoken with strong communication skills
Willingness to travel frequently and work away from home for extended periods
Eager to learn, develop professionally and maintain a quality-focused mindset
