Technical Team Lead

• Lead the Engineering Support Team (EST) Delivery team
• Deliver a stable Plan performance to support the airline operations
• Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of your EST team
• Ensure compliance is maintained and processes and procedures are followed
• Make "on the day" operational decisions for blocking issues resulting from ongoing checks
• Drive optimum plan achievement, technical decisions making and Team operational performance and alignment
• Evaluate manufacturers technical documentation and industry data, implementing requirements, recommendations and developing industry best practices
• Identify and build collaborative relationships with key collaborators within engineering and across British Airways to ensure focus on providing customer satisfaction and plan delivery
• Communicate with a wide range of departments /colleagues as required
• Arrange / co-ordinate / attend / manage meetings as appropriate to fulfil the responsibilities of the Shift Team lead position to maintain an effective interface, communication, and co-ordination, between both the internal departments and the British Airways customer as appropriate

• An appropriate qualification or equivalent in an approved Engineering subject or operational management, or a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
• General knowledge of Scheduled Maintenance planning principles
• Working knowledge of engineering processes and procedures
• Working knowledge of “Part M” and “EASA 145” requirements

Knowledge of IT systems including SAP
