Requirements:

  • Experience in VMware and Server technologies e.g. Blades/Chassis, Virtualisation, Operating Systems specifically Windows Server Operating Systems, (Linux Optional)
  • Responsible for refresh of physical and virtual servers and associated operating systems
  • Responsible for migration of Virtual Machines and Applications from legacy servers and operating systems e.g. Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 to strategic platforms (virtualised and consolidated)
  • Experience in Microsoft physical and virtual standard operating environments
  • Experience in Cloud technologies specifically in relation of Virtualisation and databases
  • Experience in IT-as-a-Service model including Platform-as-a-Service
  • Experience in Storage - SAN, NAS and backup Technologies
  • Experience in Networking technologies - LAN and WAN
  • Experience in data centre installations e.g. racking, cabling
  • Experience configuring Hyper-Converged Infrastructure -HCI using VMWare technologies -vSAN as the target environment from legacy operating environments
  • Experience in the migration of Virtual Machines from private to secure public cloud service providers as a target solution platform
  • Experience in Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMWare,VCF, Linux, JBoss products, services & technology solution environments
  • The successful candidate will hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
