Job Description:

The Technical Release Manager is accountable for the coordination and execution of software releases across the delivery lifecycle. The role ensures releases are prepared, communicated, and executed in a predictable and controlled manner, using established release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and quality gates. The role combines hands-on operation of CI/CD pipelines with release coordination and stakeholder communication, providing clear release status, risk visibility, and execution ownership throughout each release.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accountable for the coordination and execution of software releases across the delivery lifecycle
  • Ensures releases are prepared, communicated, and executed in a predictable and controlled manner, using established release processes, CI/CD pipelines, and quality gates
  • Combines hands-on operation of CI/CD pipelines with release coordination and stakeholder communication
  • Provides clear release status, risk visibility, and execution ownership throughout each release

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in one of the following roles: Release Manager, DevOps Engineer, Software Developer, or Technical Project Manager
  • Direct experience executing releases in a CI/CD-driven environment
  • Hands-on experience running, monitoring, and troubleshooting releases using GitHub Actions
  • Ability to interpret pipeline stages, logs, failures, and test signals
  • Experience triggering, re-running, rolling back, and validating pipeline executions
  • Working knowledge of Python or scripting to support release execution and operational automation
  • Experience running release syncs, tracking readiness, and managing cross-team dependencies
  • Ownership of release communications and internal release notes
  • Comfortable making and coordinating go / no-go decisions within defined criteria
  • Calm and structured under release pressure
  • Clear communicator with engineers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating within defined standards and guardrails
