The Technical Lead .NET is a pivotal senior management role responsible for leading and guiding a team of .NET developers. This position combines in-depth technical expertise in .NET and SQL Server with strong people management capabilities, driving successful delivery of application systems and programs. The core objective is to ensure the team's technical excellence, project delivery, and professional development, all while aligning with broader technology strategies and business goals within the financial services industry.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and mentor one or more .NET Applications Development teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
Conduct comprehensive personnel duties, including performance evaluations, career development planning, hiring, and disciplinary actions
Facilitate skill development within the team, identifying training needs and opportunities for growth in .NET, SQL Server, and related technologies
Oversee day-to-day staff management issues, including resource planning, allocation of work, and workload balancing across projects
Utilize extensive knowledge across multiple .NET Applications Development areas to provide hands-on technical guidance and oversight for complex systems and applications
Review, analyze, and approve proposed technical solutions for projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, scalability, and maintainability
Contribute significantly to the formulation and execution of strategies for applications development, integrating best practices and emerging technologies within the .NET ecosystem
Drive the delivery of application systems and programs in coordination with the broader Technology team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification
Monitor the delivery of end results, participate in budget management, and proactively identify and resolve impediments to project success
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry, with a strong emphasis on applications development
Demonstrable experience in a senior-level Applications Development role, with significant hands-on expertise in .NET and SQL Server
Proven experience in a leadership or managerial capacity, specifically managing development teams and overseeing project delivery
Strong stakeholder management and people management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team
Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of software development life cycles
Proven experience in delivering projects using Agile methodology
In-depth knowledge of industry practices and standards within Securities Services or Equity Settlement
knowledge of the Custody domain is highly preferred
Consistently demonstrates clear, concise, and effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to exercise evaluative judgment based on the analysis of factual data in complex and unique situations
Nice to have:
Knowledge of the Custody domain
Proven experience in delivering projects using Agile methodology
