Job Responsibility:

  • Execute the comprehensive technical design process from initial development to final fit approval
  • Analyze and evaluate garments meticulously to develop precise fit specifications
  • Ensure product development consistently meets established fit quality standards, aligns with manufacturer capabilities, and adheres to cost specifications
  • Develop detailed technical specifications and effectively communicate fit requirements to vendors and factories for approvals and corrections
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to make necessary adjustments, upholding the integrity of approved design prototypes while closely monitoring quality and targeted pricing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent professional experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical design
  • Demonstrated experience with plus-size garment fitting and technical design
  • Proven ability to be flexible, a proactive problem-solver, and a supportive team member
  • A track record of maintaining composure and effectiveness in fast-paced or high-pressure situations

Nice to have:

  • Strong background in intimate apparel or swimwear technical design
  • Expertise demonstrated through previous roles at competitive brands within the fashion industry
  • Experience owning the fit process or providing significant support to a lead technical designer for relevant categories
  • Proficiency in patterning skills, including creating technical packages and executing fit corrections
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Adobe Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
