Requirements

Minimum HNC any of the following degrees Chemistry, bio chemistry, environmental science, biochemistry or scientific degree with significant chemistry content
Recent experience working as a technical assessor or a site chemist in the waste industry
DGSA, IOSH and IMDG- preferred
Knowledge and understanding of ADR, WM3 and other waste regulations

Job Responsibility

Conduct technical assessments of waste management operations to ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations
Qualification and classification of chemicals, reporting and analysis of waste streams to determine what can be treated onsite and what needs transferring to other sites
Identify and assign cost effective treatment and processing routes
Evaluate applications for permits, accreditations, or certifications related to waste processing, recycling, and disposal
Provide expert advice on waste classification, handling, treatment, and disposal methods
Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal teams to ensure consistent interpretation of waste legislation and best practices
Analysis of information to determine waste transportation methods (ADR/IMDG regs)
Work alongside DGSA's, management, sales and chemists to facilitate smooth running of inbound and outbound waste streams
Provide technical advice, support and guidance internally and externally

Job Responsibility

Oversee the safe and effective operation of Saab Seaeye and Kystdesign ROV systems across all phases of offshore work, including mobilisation, dive operations, and demobilisation
Lead the ROV team, ensuring all personnel are briefed, supervised, and supported in delivering operational tasks to the highest standards of safety and technical quality
Act as the primary offshore point of contact for all ROV-related activity, maintaining clear communication with the Offshore Construction Manager, vessel crew, and client representatives
