Job Description:

SP Industries Inc., an ATS company, is searching for a Technical Application Specialist to join our growing team! The Application Specialist, supporting our North America lab equipment business, is responsible for providing critical technical application support to our customers as well as sales and product management teams. The ideal candidate has both technical and industry experience in pharmaceutical and biotech chemistry research laboratory workflows, including but not limited to solvent evaporation and freeze drying.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports our team with product demonstrations, customer trainings, and technical presentations to grow new lab equipment sales
  • Supports new and existing customers with workflow optimization to maximize the value of our instruments in their laboratory
  • Develops deep relationships with key accounts and industry key opinion leaders to develop commercial resources, such as whitepapers, webinars, brochures, presentations
  • Works closely with the UK office, particularly R&D and product management, to implement voice of customer feedback, competitive information to enhance new product development
  • Provides first level technical support to customers in North America for our lab equipment products
  • Regularly provides product training to the sales team

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of lab equipment sales or technical/applications support experience supporting pharma and biotech research laboratory customers
  • Robust knowledge of chemistry laboratory workflows and lab equipment, particularly in pharma and biotech
  • Strong industry knowledge and relationships in North America pharma and biotech market
  • Experience presenting webinars and writing whitepapers
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the life or physical sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering a plus)
  • Experience working in a chemistry laboratory a plus
