Job Description:

Technical Accounting Senior Analyst role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. In the Finance and Corporate Strategy team we ensure that the business’s capital strategies are operationally supported and strategically focused. This is how we work to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company. By gathering and analysing financial data we can influence decisions within the business, drive initiatives, and help ensure alignment with our wider objectives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide significant contribution to the technical accounting function
  • Partner with business unit finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others as necessary to provide technical accounting analysis and support on transactions and accounting issues
  • Communicate and drive adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization’s financial goals and policies
  • Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results externally
  • Provide significant contribution to the Close & Consolidation accounting function
  • Partner with business unit finance teams, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax and others as necessary to provide Close & Consolidation support and deadline

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, finance, business, accounting (e.g., CPA (or equivalent), MBA) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance function
  • Big four public accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience with technology industry and international companies preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP
  • Experience in close and consolidation system & process
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-starter who is able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, catered to a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience in business application (e.g., SAP)
