This is a maternity leave cover planned until the end of 2026. We are looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join our Technical Accounting Team. As a key member of the finance function, you will be responsible for ensuring Mileway’s compliance with IFRS, by optimizing and implementing systems and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of the preparation of financial data. The position reports to the Head of Technical Accounting and you will work closely with several teams such as the Controllership, Investment Accounting, Property Management or IT team to ensure alignment within the framework of Mileway’s Group accounting policies and procedures as well as any external reporting obligations.
Job Responsibility:
Provide guidance on Mileway accounting policies and processes to the Investment Accounting team to facilitate accurate accounting for transactions
Prepare and provide internal trainings on accounting policies and processes
Drive continuous improvements by reviewing existing Yardi modules and assess usefulness of available Yardi modules to identify areas of improvements to ensure correct accounting
Continuously identify accounting process- and accounting policy improvements to streamline accounting procedures and enhance efficiency
Review of Group financial statements, management reports, and making sure they are in line with latest changes to IFRS and local reporting requirements
Lead the preparation of audit position papers and discuss technical topics with auditors if and when required
Review and improve the Yardi chart of accounts and segments to ensure IFRS compliant reporting
Support the onboarding of new share deals by assessing day 1 IFRS adjustments and reviewing the integration of the seller’s financial data into Yardi
Communicate effectively with FP&A, Investment Accounting, Controllership, Property Management and IT to address financial inquiries and provide support as needed
Identify changes to existing accounting standards and assess impacts on Mileway Financial Statements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting or controllership, ideally in a real estate environment
Solid knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Yardi skills, experience in OneStream is a plus
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization
Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. You’re a hands-on self-starter who works confidently and independently, and you also collaborate well with others
