Randstad Digital is currently searching for a talented Tech Lead/Manager - Platform and Data Engineering to join the team of one of our prestigious clients. We are now looking for a Tech Lead/Manager - Platform and Data Engineering to lead our data platform and data engineering efforts in several important business domains and across our company. We add value by working business outcome oriented and in cross functional value streams with a balanced mix of goals to chase. As a Leader, you’ll play a valuable role in innovation bets, engineering practices and team development.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be hands-on in the code with delivering the product owner prioritized features to our Modern Data Platform and related AI platform
  • Lead skilled platform & data engineers based on industry thought leadership and appropriate methods
  • Shape team strategic outcomes within our Technology and Data Strategies
  • Facilitate engineering bets & trade-offs to maximize business outcomes, speed, quality and minimum viable compliance with an engaged team
  • Technical leadership within one or several technologies, architectures or techniques

Requirements:

  • Software Engineering or Data Engineering skills at expert level
  • Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering skills at advanced level
  • Good understanding of the interplay between ways of working, architectures and organisational outcomes
  • Relevant track record of technology-fuelled business outcomes
  • Experience working with Python in a data engineering capacity
  • Experience with SQL
  • Building and deploying containerised applications on Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Snowflake
  • Familiarity with DBT
  • Building DAGs with Apache Airflow
  • AWS or other public cloud experience
  • Infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform
  • Experience working in end-to-end delivery teams
  • Experience with a Data Mesh strategy

  • Have high degree of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management skills
