Job Responsibility:
Deliver 1:1 or small group support to help students master difficult subjects
Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task
Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of students
Supervise students during practical lessons and experiments to ensure safety
Keep a close eye on student progress and provide simple, encouraging feedback
Prepare the classroom environment and resources before each lesson begins
Act as a reliable mentor and positive role model for teenagers
Support the school's pastoral team in ensuring student well being and safety
Requirements:
A resilient personality and the ability to build quick rapport with local teenagers
Previous experience in a school, youth club, or community setting is a big plus
A professional approach and the ability to follow school policies and procedures
A valid Enhanced DBS check (or the willingness to apply for one)
