Job Responsibility:

Providing individual and group support tailored to student needs
Assisting teachers in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging lesson plans
Implementing effective behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques with a calm and understanding approach
Monitoring student progress diligently and providing valuable feedback to teachers
Cultivating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment where all students feel valued
Collaborating with parents and other school staff to ensure holistic support for student learning and well-being
Maintaining accurate records of student progress and behaviour to inform interventions
Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

Possess a relevant qualification in education or a related field
Have 1+ years of experience working with students with autism and challenging behaviours
Demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs
Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Can adapt your approach to meet the diverse and individual needs of students
Are proficient in using technology to support learning
