Job Responsibility

Provide administrative support to tax preparers, accountants, and tax managers during peak and off-peak seasons
Assemble, organize, and review client tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s, prior-year returns, etc.)
Prepare and process engagement letters, tax organizers, extensions, and e-file authorizations
Track tax return status, deadlines, and filing requirements to ensure timely submissions
Enter and update client data accurately in tax preparation and document management systems
Coordinate client communication, including scheduling appointments, follow-ups, and document requests
Scan, upload, index, and maintain electronic and physical client files in compliance with confidentiality standards
Assist with tax return assembly, delivery, and secure transmission to clients
Process billing, invoices, and payment tracking related to tax services
Support compliance with IRS and state regulations, firm procedures, and internal controls
