Tax Group Manager

• Overall management of the tax liabilities of Citi Germany including corporate taxes, VAT, withholding taxes and payroll taxes
• Presenting updates and technical positions up to Board level
• Determining and compiling information required for income tax filing
• Managing payments to tax authorities
• Direct and control strategy and execution of the firm's activities within the Tax area
• Partner with wider business teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity and control
• Manage and develop staff within the Tax function
• Manage local relationships with advisors, regulators and tax authorities
• Risk assessment and compliance management

• Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
• Steuerberater (m/w/d) / Tax Advisor (m/f/d) qualification
• Experience of working within a multinational company an advantage
• Fluent in German and English
• Deep technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes
• Experience in communicating with and managing relationships with tax authorities, regulators and advisors
• Excellent communication skills
• Management experience including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring and budget approval
