This role will serve as a subject matter expert with enterprise accountability for designing, implementing, and managing the IT Operations environment. The candidate must have experience managing Microsoft Active Directory and Windows services running various Windows operating systems in VMware and AWS environments. This person must be an MS Windows server technology expert who can operate and continuously improve, standardize, and automate tasks in multiple data centers throughout the US. They should have a solid background in storage technologies, Security, scripting, backup and recovery technologies, and infrastructure as code. We’re looking for a responsive, highly productive professional who can work with a variety of IT colleagues and vendors to ensure continued performance, scalability, and availability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the design, standardization, and ongoing management of our enterprise Windows server/Active Directory, including Windows system administration, ongoing checks on expected server operations, storage space, event logs, etc.
  • Windows server 2008-2022 support (on-premises, remote, and cloud-based systems)
  • Implementation and management of enterprise backup solutions
  • PowerShell scripting and task automation
  • Participate in infrastructure management, remediation, and auditing processes that meet the PCI Data Security Standard
  • Ensure standard IT preventative maintenance/management functions are taking place in alignment with enterprise procedures and standards
  • Provide remote assistance as needed to personnel who are outside of the primary work location
  • Planning and coordination of changes in the context of change management
  • Creation and updating of system documentation
  • Develop, publish, and adhere to standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide on-site and remote support
  • emergency on-call support as needed
  • Assist with managing maintenance agreements and maintaining consistent device configurations, accurate device asset inventories, and up-to-date system diagrams and documentation
  • Working in a highly team-oriented global team environment, assisting the engineering team in developing standard operational processes to support the management of data centers, server & storage environment, and global customer voice/data network infrastructures
  • Share 7x24 rotational responsibilities for On-Call support
  • Follow, support, and promote the ongoing improvement of project methodologies, change management, security, and other corporate and Infrastructure team policies
  • Participate in and support team-oriented problem-solving, system development, and operations approaches
  • Work with the Security and Audit teams regarding ITGCs and risk mitigation

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10-15 years of experience required in the following areas: Windows Server 2008R2-2012 R2, 2016, and 2019 support
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Managing a VMware environment
  • Windows infrastructure services include GPO, DFS, File/Print, DNS, WINS, replication, certificate, and ADFS
  • IP Level experience with VLANs and Subnets
  • PowerShell/Python Scripting/task automation experience
  • MS Exchange/O365
  • Industry Standard Enterprise backup/recovery technology
  • Experience with configuration of Windows servers in a data center environment is required
  • Strong experience with MS Windows 7-10 desktop OS as well as MS Office Productivity tools (on-premises and O365)
  • A working understanding of LAN/WAN concepts is required
  • Experience managing/supporting systems remotely and in a highly secure environment
  • 5+ years of experience working within an ITIL based structure (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, etc.)
  • Strong documentation skills and experience with technology asset management processes are required
  • Must be able to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel effectively
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and thrive in a team environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is innovative and quick to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively execute tasks in high-pressure and stressful situations
  • Possesses strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills and is detail oriented
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
