The Systems and Security role plays a critical role in maintaining world class operational excellence while ensuring the technology for the STAR team is fully functional for optimal performance and security.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with team members to identify use cases of technology solutions to accomplish business objectives, and design/implement appropriate products to fulfill business needs
Implement and support infrastructure solutions in an on-premises and/or cloud-based systems while incorporating best practices for availability, scalability, and security
Assume technical ownership of business applications and identify the best strategy to keep these systems operational
Perform and lead enterprise level server migrations including Office 365, SharePoint, VMware, Azure, Dynamics 365, NAV and other infrastructure projects.
Develop and maintain security architecture for cloud-based and on-premises environments, including the implementation of robust data loss prevention strategies and advanced security protocols such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Lead the creation and enforcement of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as PCI, and managing cyber insurance processes
Create and maintain documentation including diagrams, flow charts, and written processes for all systems
Drive the adoption of a security-first culture across the organization through education and the development of a security awareness program, significantly mitigating risks
Use the ticketing system to manage priorities on projects and requests
Provide after-hours support during emergency outages or planned maintenance
Keep a strong focus on customer service, including proactive communication, follow-through, and education
Work closely with IT Manager and support the helpdesk to prioritize and manage day-to-day technology projects and requests
Participate in planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of IT processes
Support special projects and initiatives as needed
