Job Description:

The Systems Engineer, 2 is responsible for the planning, designing, acquisition, maintenance, and implementation of applications, infrastructure, system integration, and solutions utilizing vendor relationships and internal IT and business partners with guidance and direction only on the most complex situations. This person ensures the solutions employed across the organization support the needs of evolving business by effectively understanding the changing technology. This individual also provides oversight and assistance across project design and delivery, ongoing administration including monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring availability and reliability across multiple providers and services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the planning, designing, acquisition, maintenance, and implementation of applications, infrastructure, system integration, and solutions utilizing vendor relationships and internal IT and business partners with guidance and direction only on the most complex situations
  • Ensures the solutions employed across the organization support the needs of evolving business by effectively understanding the changing technology
  • Provides oversight and assistance across project design and delivery, ongoing administration including monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring availability and reliability across multiple providers and services
  • Creates, reviews, and maintains documentation of deployments, systems, and procedures relating to job/team responsibilities
  • Produces documentation as requested for internal customers, audits and compliance purposes
  • Participates in the approval process
  • Reports and presents quarterly capacity analyses of licensing, equipment, and utilization
  • Establishes and meets critical deadlines while prioritize multiple activities and complex projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrates leadership by driving projects to meet milestone dates, utilizing critical thinking skills to help analyze business problems and recommending solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to resolve problems and gaining consensus on the best solution
  • Influences change, prioritizes efforts on critical initiatives, and works to identify find solutions to opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 to 5 years work experience in one or more programming languages/frameworks/products
  • Must have worked in projects adopting Iterative/Agile/Water fall methodologies and must be proficient with its practices
  • Proficient in one or more of the following areas (e.g. Windows Desktop, SCCM, VMware ESXi virtualization, Windows Server Operating Systems, Server hardware platforms in an enterprise environment, preferably, Basic skills Cloud Computing (Azure / AWS), Networking (Data), Infrastructure Automation, VDI/VMware Horizon,) and implement or manage/maintain at least two platform
