The opportunity: Rub shoulders with some of the military's top Aviators and Aircraft, as you manage and maintain the Automated Maintenance Environment required to ensure the FA/18F and EA/18G aircraft maintain airworthiness. Boeing Defence Australia is currently seeking a System Administrator to join the Air Combat Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) directly supporting the Growler and Super Hornet Air Combat maintenance capability. The role will involve direct Squadron level customer support and helpdesk duties, one-on-one customer support and liaising with the Commonwealth for product improvements and enhancements.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux), and hardware platforms (computer, storage, network and desktop)
Administration of Active Directory, virtualisation technology, disaster recovery, business continuity, and system monitoring
Creation and maintenance of change, configuration and operational processes
Support senior members in triage, escalation, and other duties - support operational requirements of customer
Evaluate and respond to emerging security issues
evaluate capability risks/gaps and take and/or coordinate actions to meet objectives
Participate in evaluation of process effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
Experience in maintaining, administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Desktop and Windows Server
An understanding of and familiarity with Cyberworthiness
An interest in automation and scripting
High level of customer service and interpersonal communications skills
A demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise documentation and reports
Basic familiarity with network technology and commandline would be preferred
An ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team, within a dynamic and challenging workplace
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to successfully undergo the security clearance vetting process for Negative Vetting Level 2
