Position will require floating within the Wake Region: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, NC), Davie Medical Center (Bermuda Run, NC), Wilkes Medical Center (North Wilkesboro, NC) High Point Medical Center (High Point, NC) Lexington Medical Center (Lexington, NC). Schedule Details/Additional Information: Day Shift - 3 x 12 or 4 x 10 scheduling option; No call requirements; 2 weekend shifts per 8 week schedule; 2 Monday’s & 2 Friday’s per an 8-week schedule; 1 major winter holiday & 2 minor holidays per calendar year.
Job Responsibility:
Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN
Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies
Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner
Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development
Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program or Accredited school of nursing
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
3 years of experience strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Certification in Surgical Technology
